Getting out of the cave
Welcome at this forum of ¥OURWORLD. This place is meant to be a 'holy grail' for civil society. As RenĂ© Grotenhuis stated at his contribution to a debate at the Broker: "Let us not look for the holy grail", ¥OURWORLD wishes to offer the possibility to catch some of the drips of 'holy water' that come off the ceiling of this little cave at the internet.
Just like many of its 'sister caves' near Ethiopia's rock-hewn churches, it functions as a place of hope for healing. Taking time to enjoy the sound of drops slowly feeding the containers may provide opportunities to arrive at some healthy realisation that healing of the world can only be reached through personal transformation. Sitting in our caves we may miss out on some of the splendour that is passing by that would be able to transform us.
So let us enjoy the rain of a diversity of domains, opinions and dominions in this 'public cave'. That may help us to see through the limitation of the individual drops and on the longer term enjoy the water we will be collecting in abundance in all the different 'containers' only with patience and endurance, for purposes that may help healing the world.
Fur this purpose country pages will be added on the right side of the screen, so that we slowly discover that the same rock provides shelter for many other groups. And at times we may wish to enjoy other caves as well, learning from each other how to best collect the 'holy water'.
